Preliminary examination consists of two papers of objective type (multiple choice questions) and carries a maximum of 450 marks
Paper I
General Studies (2 hrs.) 150 Marks
Paper II
Optional Subject (2 hrs) 300 Marks
Mains
Mains examination is the written examination that consists of seven exam papers of conventional essay type questions where 3 subjects are compulsory and 4 are optional.
Personal Interview
Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 33% in each of the subject and in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST; qualifying marks would be 23%.
