Public Service Commission, West Bengal is responsible for the recruitment of candidates to various civil services posts across the state of West Bengal. This administrative body was established on the recommendation of Simon Commission under the Government of India Act in the year 1937. Additionally, it comprises of one chairman and four other members.
As per the State Services Recruitment Rules, the Public Service Commission, West Bengal holds the State level Civil Services (Exe) examinations. On the basis of the performance of candidates in the same, the aspirants are recruited in the West Bengal Civil Service and other services and posts.
