In resonant condition of LCR circuit,capacitive reactance will b equal to inductive reactance,,,,,,

XL=XC,therefore Z=square root of [(XL-XC)^2+R^2]....clearly impedance will b equal to total resistance.

hiii.....

At x=0,

LHL=lim x->0 (1+ax)^1/x

=e^lim x->0 (ax/x)

=e^a

RHL=lim x->0 (x+c)^(1/3)-1/(x+1)^(1/2)-1

=finite/0

=infinite

RHL must b of the form 0/0.

therefore,c=1

RHL=lim x->0 (x+1)^(1/3)-1/x+1-1/(x+1)^(1/2)-1/x+1-1

=1/3/1/2

=2/3

now,e^a=2/3

hence,a=ln(2/3)

b=2/3

c=1

Catalogs Discussion Forums -> Inorganic Chemistry -> why potassium chloride becomes violet in the presence of potassium vapours? -> Go to message
This Post 5 points    (Olaaa!! Perrrfect answer.   in 1 votes )   [?]

Hiiiii.....

This happens becos of metal excess defect caused due to anionic vacancies in the crystals of KCl.

When crystals of KCl are heated in presence of K vapour,the K atoms lose an electron to form K+ ions.The Cl- ions move to the surface of the crystal and combine with K+ ions to form KCl.

The released electrons occupy anionic sites after moving into the crystal.Now there is an excess of K in the crystal.The anionic sites occupied by unpaired electrons are called F-centres.They impart violet colour to the crystals of KCl.
