its dimensionless coz R= dVD/n , where d=density of liquid, V =CRITICAL VELOCITY, D - diameter of pipe, n=cofficent of viscosity [M/LT]

Reynolds number has very importance in CHemical Engineering and is a Diemnsionless number that gives you an idea of type of flow in the system

Reynold's number is dimensionless. It is a very useful number in tackling engineering problems.
