when the area vector is perpendicular the field its minimum....and when its parallel to the field its maximum..the area vector is perpendicular to the plane of the area

flux is max when angle b/w normal component of electric field and surface area vector is zero.........

it is min when the angle b/w the two is 90 degrees.
