
The Exam
IAS exam is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of officers in basically three civil services i.e. Indian administrative service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS). The aspirants, who strive to make their careers in civil services, appear in the exam to fulfill their dreams. IAS exam is considered as one of the toughest competitive exams of India for any aspirant because only high scorers qualify for next stage of exam. But if an aspirant starts his IAS exam preparation with right strategy, he can not only crack the exam, but he also qualifies it with great marks.
Preparation
An aspirant should always start his IAS exam preparation by clearing basics from NCERT 6th standard to 12th standard books. Also, write down most important points in the notebook in the form of headings and sub headings. These notes will help you in the last days of preparation when you will be revising all the things one by one. Prepare yourself according to the IAS exam pattern and syllabus. In IAS Prelims exam 2011, you will get multiple choice questions in the question paper. Moreover, read regularly English/Hindi newspaper or watch news on television to get latest updates of day to day happenings.
Feel Positive !
What’s more, positive thinking is essential for getting success in the exam. You should have spirit like “Yes, I can do it”. Many aspirants waste their time in lots of other activities such as playing games, watching movies, Internet surfing, social networking etc. But they forget that the present time is very crucial for them. If they do hard work for their preparation at present, their future will be secured without any doubt. So it is advisable that don’t indulge in these types of activities. However, you can include some time in your time schedule for relaxation after a long time of study hours.
