now results are out actually.....................................and i got

1. jee 6280

2.cee 283.

i will get into DCE/nsit cs or it....anyways

but my real ques. is shld i prepare again for jee?

what benmifit  i will reap when i will be in iit and not in dce/nsit.how will it help me ...because for prep again.............i need to put very hard work....in any case but that is not problem but it shld be worth it what i m doing.

plz answer.

if you are ready to put in the required hard work then why not give it a try

and yeah in NSIT there is very little of workload in first year and you can give ample time to iit prep

and if you are able to manage a rank <1200 then you will get a lot incomparison to your hard work

better brandname,better faculty/campus , better plecement,better recognition for your future

everything and NSIT is also a good option if you are still not able to clear it in your second attempt to iit

in NSIT 60% or something will be sufficient in order to get a placement

you must give it a try

and yeah if you get into iit you will have much better things in your hands

if u want me to eleborate then here it goes

1) better brandname  --- do i have to explain it to you the name IIT says it all these institutes are world renowned institutes which will give you a much much better standing when you go into the industry scenario or even if you decide to go in for a postgraduation be it MBA or an MS you will be given a lot more preferrence than a NSITian because you are amongst the top 100 students in your country and the reccomendationss of iit professors count a lot

some of the top notch companies visit the iit campus

(avg placement of an iitian >5lpa and avg placement of an NSITIAN approx 3lpa or be it any other NIT)

2) better foundation of knowledge  - -- - -  the sylabbus of DCE has not been upgraded from the last 10 years and that says it all the only reason NSITians get placement is because of thier own efforts out of the regular coll acad) an NSITian is never taught java lang in all 4 years whereas every iitian is taught java in its first year only ad that says it all

3)better placement  -  - - - - - you are the top 1000 in your country in iit and you are top 1000 in delhi in NSIT and the fact about placement is obvious you can confirm the same from NSIT seniors in fourth year

well .. NSIT CS is good .. i think u need not drop .. u nvr knw wat happens next year .. so it is a problem ..u shud not drop in my opinion ..
