ive got AIR 6926..most people around me say i wont get anything...whats the use of being in the merit list then?? and is there the remotest chance of chemical at IT-BHU or petroleum at ISMU??or should i forget about iit and see other exams??i wouldnt mind joining even the new iits if i get a seat...request prompt replies as im really depressed and dont know what to do...
You may get some lower branch in new IITs but I am not sure. Chemical BHU and Petroleum Dhanbad are far from this rank. You can get mining courses in BHU. I would suggest you to wait for AIEEE results. I would rank top NITs above new IITs and if you get something good there you can leave IIT without any hesitation.
but u can as well try indore n gandhinagar ones... u hav chances.... coz many ppl r leaving them n going off to NITs.... i mena tht is if u r after the brand....otherwise as bipin has said NITs wud be gud choice..
