hey evryone.. i am here just to clear ur misconceptions.. i am myself a student in vit university's cse branch!! so if u want to ask any questions regarding VIT university,ask me.. dont circulate.publicise and believe the articles which are written by losers!!! if u want direct answers along with proof,ask it to a student himself!! people are not fools to join vit.. in a time of recession when no it company was offering jobs.. vit university was able to place more than a 500 people for salaries above 3.5 lakhs p.a.. i think.this proof is enough..

u can get into vit jus by payin 2.9 lacs... aguy of my class jus got in there by doin so....nd to prove his standard in studies...lemme tell u tat he got into science stream thru his contacts only...he didn't even get 70% marks in 10th brds!! |

@sambhav- i told na there are admissions by giving donations.. but money cant do everything bro.. a fool will always remain a fool.. in the first sem itself those ppl get to knw the reality when they are unable to pass tests and exams,..!! and wat do u hav to do with dat.. let them give money and take admission.. get a rank thru merit!! |

@s.subramanian thanks for replying but plz. tell something about IT(Information Technology) With reference to VIT.How are it's placements(Average and top)as compared to CSE.If i join IT will i be allowed to take part in CSE related events(eg. website related competitions or programing events)Please give few more details about "IT".............. one more thing you just said that VIT has not been given any notice.Don't take me in wrong sense.But even i have heard and read about this(However this didn't became a NEWS HEADLINE But it's true read this article at telegraph http://telegraphindia.com/1100214/jsp/nation/story_12104169.jsp ) Someone called aakash has explained about the list at bits360.com may be this aakash of goiit and that aakash of bits360 forum are same.You may visit the link posted by him to know more..... there is some truth in what he is saying....but........... |

@abhas i can understand ur desperation.. i'll let u knw abt it in a day or two.. i hav my sem end exams going on rite nw,so cant ask ppl.. will surely let u knw in a day or two.. and regarding the deemed univ thing-its more a matter of concern for me coz i am already a student here.isnt it.. so just chill i'll answer u for sure.. u got a guy named abhishek roy. even he;s from my floor in the hostel.. so u can trust him too.. |

@s.subramanian yep, i know you ppl r busy with ur exams....that's the case with all engg. colleges real studies are done a few days before exam or during Exams(even a few ppl from IIT have told me so)"Abhishek roy" has solved many of my queries...but now he is inactive may be due to his exams....but please answer my queries related to "IT" Vs "CSE" before counseling of VIT starts....All the best for exams...don't worry u will 10 pointers in all subjs. this sem as u r doing a gr8 job..... :) |

@KANAV ur rank is on the borderline if u want to get pure mechanical ..if u go by last year's counselling stats,u mite jst get mech coz last yr it closed at arnd 7050.. but u will get mechanical with energy specialization or mechanical with chemical specialisation... at ur rank accrdng to last yr's stats u won't get electronics and communications.. all the other branches such as cse,it,biotech,eee,etc, will be open for u.. |

@abhas its not at all easy to get a perfect 10 here.. the toppers have pointers of arnd 9.4.. my pointer is 9.2, and still i am rank 11th in cse,,i'll let u knw soon.. my exams are getting over on 14th may,, so will tell u by that time,.. |

VIT is ahead of the IITs..... are you crazzzzzyyyyyyyy..... As if the government didn't have anyother work than to slap a notice across VIT......VIT has been given notice by the Supreme Court....And these ranking are made out of commercial interests.... The college has a hostel where you would find hard to stand..LOL... its a 5 star hotel...If warning is frustration, then take us to be FRUSTRATED....And becoz the report became public, companies will not so eager to be recruiting.. And your chances of studying in foreign varsities may be hit hard.... |

@Vivek Roy relax yaar !!!! no one here is saying that VIT is better that IITs.See the rankings posted by s.subramanian. http://www.goiit.com/posts/list/community-shelf-ranking-of-engineering-colleges-1020183.htm EVEN he is accepting that fact....VIT might not be the best college in India but it is not "A HELL" as said in that post....if anyone don't want to join any college then he/she is free to do so.....Everyone is free to have any opinion...After all India is a democracy YAAR...but if your opinions about VIT are only based on the posts you have read on forums then you must reconsider ur opinion(That's what I feel)If you have actually met any such person from VIT who feels that "VIT is bad" then please share your opinion.But remember you can easily find 2-3 frustrated ppl in all college.He might be some guy who get into VIT through quota and couldn't to well so he posted such stuffs about VIT out of frustration(it is one of the many possibilities)as s.subramanian has said several ppl who couldn't get good NITs or desired branches in NITs and IITs join VIT.There are many ppl who give more preference to branch over college because the want to do what they really like.I know many ppl from my FIITJEE batch will go to NITs to get desired branch even though they have qualified JEE.I really don't want to convince anyone About VIT or any other private college.I have shared what I felt.I don't hv any prob. if u hv similar or even different opinions about VIT....... @vivek.. chill man.. more than u its a prob for me-the deemed univ thing.. ok .. so i wont post things wrong.. secondly the hostels are not five star hotels... they are good and much better than other university hostels... do u knw that even in a college like bits pilani,dogs are found in the hostel corridors and they shit outside the doors of rooms!! strange na, bt its true,, |

ok that guy who posted d article criticising vit had some personal locha 4 sure all he wrote was intense but he was correct....i've heard quite a lot of that frm other ppl too........he mite hve exagrted a bit his point ws true! |
